She was born in 13th of February in 1972 in Monterrey, Mexico. Her real name ir Elizabeth Guerra Vásquez.
Daughter of Alberto Guerra and Gloria Vasquez. She lived in Monterrey for a few years, and then she moved to San Luis Potosí. Then she goes to Guadalajara, for father’s job reason. In this city, she finds her artists talent, in Mexican rock.
She sings with José Fors and Fratta. When she was 15 years old, she decided to search oportunitys and make her musicals dreams in Mexico City. Then she works in BMG. Two years later, her first disc, called “Ely Guerra” was made. This album was not very popular. Song like “Jurame”, “Quiero verte”, “Atrevete”.
When she finished her work contract with BMG she worked in EMI. With EMI, her second album “Pa’ morirse de amor”, was made; with songs like “Angel de fuego”, “Peligro” or “Por que tendria que llorar por ti”. In 1999, she made her third album it was called “Lotofire”. That has songs like “Yo no”, “Vete”,”El mar”.
In 2004, Ely published her 4th album, it is called “Sweet n Sour”, in this album she dedicated the lyrics to Gilberto Cerezo (Kinky’s integrant) who is her boyfriend. This album has songs like “I love you”, “Ojos Claros”, “Quiereme mucho”.
Ely participated in many musical projects with; José Fors, Fratta, La Ley, Sussie4 and many soundtracks like “Amores Perros”, “De la Calle” and “Vacas Vaqueras”.
Nowa days, she has a sentimental relation drip with Gil Cerezo (singer of Kinky)
Today, she is recording a new discography with many songs that are going to public in September of this year.
